Debbie Glovin Rosenberg is a ceramic
artist who incorporates found objects in hand thrown, high fire
stoneware. A California native living in Malibu she utilizes local
shells, glass and wood in her work. As well as ash, woods, and glasses
found around the world.
Debbie grew up in her mothers painting
and ceramic studio in Southern California. She has worked in art museums
throughout Europe and America after graduating from the University of
California (Berkley and Santa Cruz) with a B.A. and Masters in art and
cultural history.
As an avid world traveler, she has
employed a cross-cultural and historic perspective in her work. Her
interest in history and culture provide the inspiration for sculpted,
carved, pierced, threaded and rough treated clay.
It is a culmination of all these
experiences and interest that has brought me to my present phase of
life. I have come full circle and reach a point where I realize the
importance of karma. I use my skills and creativity and found objects to
create beautiful one of a kind pieces of stoneware, which I sell, using
the funds to aid the victims of the events the objects are taken from.
My way of giving back to the earth.
I hope you find energy and warmth , and
can share and celebrate the heart and soul that is fired into each and
every piece. As with each ash and fragment, that is placed, a little
piece of me goes in as well.
All My Blessings, Debbie
